System crashed and DBF won't open? Project can't open? Memo file is missing or invalid? Report is corrupted? We can try to repair them!
We have more than 30 years of experience with all versions of Foxpro and Visual Foxpro, from its inception to the present day. As the creators of the popular CM Table Repair utility, we know almost everything about how VFP table corruptions occur and how they can be repaired. So we decided to create this online service for those who can't handle the issues themselves and have valuable data that can be recovered for use.
What VFP tables are accepted?
A table consists of 1 file, and if there are memo fields - of 2 files. There may be a third index file, but there's no need to send it to us, as it's usually no problem to recreate it yourself.
DBF and FPT files – These are data tables
DBC and DBT files – these are containers of tables (databases)
FRX and FRT files – these are reports
LBX and LBT files – these are labels
PJX and PJT files – these are projects in the VFP development system
VCX and VCT files – These are class containers in the VFP development system
SCX and SCT files – these are forms (screens) in the VFP development system
MNX and MNT files - these are menus in the VFP development system
In addition to Visual Foxpro tables, we can also repair tables from Foxpro 2.x, FoxBASE, FoxBASE+, dBASE III Plus, dBASE IV, Clipper and more.
How this VFP table repair service works?
First, find out what tables are damaged and whether you have any data at all. By tables with data we mean files with the expected size, but which have a structural problem and cannot be opened. Empty files, for example, cannot be repaired. It is a good idea to open the files with a text or hexadecimal editor to make sure that there is any data inside as you expect it to be. Without recording of course. Only files that you submit directly after the damage occurred and not with any other repair attempts applied are accepted.
Along with the damaged table, you can also apply a healthy one, for example from an backup archive. This can dramatically increase the chances of a complete and successful repair.
Once you are convinced of what is there to fix, you come here and place an order, choosing the appropriate options for the number of damaged tables and their total size. After completing the order and the corresponding payment, you can go to your account and view your order.
Down there you will find where you can upload the files. They must be zipped before, preferably in a single ZIP file. If the ZIP file is too big, you can send them, for example, through wetransfer.com or another online service, submitting a link to download the files in the comment field.
The next communication and receipt of the repaired tables happens in a similar way in the history of the order.
