Once you are on this page, you already know how necessary an XML sitemap generator is for your site. We developed this module because none of the others fully met our needs. We have made many settings so that it can be used in any Opencart e-store.

The help information in the module under each field and that in a separate section tells how to submit the generated XML file to Google Search Console.

Sitemap content (sections):

Categories
Products
Brands (manufactures)
Info pages (Information)
Blog categories
Blog posts

Blogs (news extensions) supported:

Journal theme blog
Clean Opencart Blog

Sitemap content (sections/tags):

Each of listed sections can be turned on and off
Their order in the file can be set
Each section can be assigned a different PRIORITY
Each section can be assigned a different CHANGE FREQUENCY
Last modify info (lastmod attribute) for products and blog posts can be turned on and off
Image url tag for products and blog posts can be turned on and off
Item sort order for products and blog posts is date modified
For categories it is possible to put parent in subcategory url (composite urls)
For large databases, a limit can be set for products and blog posts
For categories and brands optional corresponding products can be generated (composite urls)

General settings:

Multilanguage - separate url for each language, if different. Can be turned on and off
Sitemap Url and Url for Google search console with instructions for necessary change in the .htaccess file
Maximum execution time can be set

Cache settings:

Use filesystem cache can be turned on and off
Url to generate the sitemap with security token is provided - can be used in cron
Cached file name can be set, defaults to sitemap.xml
Cached file location can be set (main site directory, cache directory or downloads directory)
